Musical Instrument Museum of the State Institute for Music Research
Musical Instrument Museum of the State Institute for Music Research
The State Institute for Music Research is the largest non-university research center for musicology in Germany. It is both a place for historical-theoretical reflection and for its lively communication. For this purpose, the institute with its Musical Instrument Museum has an ideal forum for various events: from scientific symposia to conversation concerts with early music on historical instruments from the collection to interactive sound installations.
Visit to the Musical Instrument Museum with a collection of over 800 instruments from five centuries, a digital museum guide with sound examples, and interactive stations to try out.
